It is because we have recently released terry towel slippers as part of our “Other Stuff” collection. It is also because slippers are an object that provide comfort to fashion enthusiasts that have walked in beautiful heals all day. Your feet deserve comfort and relaxation and slippers are definitely a very big source of comfort and relaxation. Therefore, we write to you today about slippers and about slippers from different countries and cultures. We also include men-slippers from India that are very beautiful!

An interesting slipper is the Japanese Geta, which is a slipper that resembles flip flops. These slippers are made of wood and have teeth at the bottom of them to elevate the wearer. Rather than for fashion, these slippers were worn to protect the expensive kimonos from dirty floors. The Geta can come in different heights and it was mainly worn before the 1970s. Below is a picture of the Japanese Geta. The Geta can also be thought of as a clog, which are slippers that are made in wood and that exist in many countries and that were quite fashionable at the end of the nineties. وما هي انواع الشباشب او احذية البيت الاخرى التي وجدناها في بلادٍ اخرى؟ اننا نعرض عليكم في الاسفل احذية البيت والشباشب التي وجدناها مبتكرة. وبالنسبة لنا, ان احذية البيت او الشباشب قي كل ما يسهل لبسه في القدم وليس لديه نظام اغلاق.
ووجدنا الشبشب او حذاء البيت الياباني والتي يُدعى "جيتا" بغاية الابداع. وانه حذاء بيت مصنوع من خشب ولديه سنّان يرفعان من يلبسه عن الارض. وكان يُلبس "الجيتا" ليرفع الكيمونو الباهظ الثمن عن الارض ولم يكن يُليس لغاية الموضة والتجميل. وللجيتا عدة ارتفاعات وكان شائعاً ما قبل سنة 1970. في الاسفل صورة لجيتا من اليابان. وتُعتبر "الجيتا" قبقاباً خشبياً يابانياً. والفبقاب موجودٌ ايضاً في بلادٍ اخرى وبانواعٍ عديدة. وبالاسفل مثل عن قبقاب من تركيا.

Slippers from India are also very interesting. The most interesting one is the khussa or mojari. This slipper is mainly from North India and Pakistan. It is usually made of leather and is sewn using a cotton thread and has a lot of embellishments such as beads, mirrors, etc. The festive and ornate khussa is usually worn by men at their weddings. ان الشباشب الهندي هو بغاية الجمال ايضاً ولفت انتياهنا حذاء هندي يُدعى "خوسا" وهو تحديداً من شمال الهند ومن باكستان. انه عادةً مصنوعٌ من جلد طبيعي ويُصنع على اليدّ باستعمال خيطٍ قطنيًّ ولديه الكثير من الاكسسوارات التي تزينه كالمرايا والخرز. وهويُلبس من قبل الرجال في اعراسهم. وفي الاسفل "خوسا" صنعتها شركة باكستانية اسمها اشراقي.
Brazil is also well-known for beaches and for beach slippers of course. Ipanema slippers are quite well-known slippers bearing the name of a famous beach neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro and here is a photo of a pair of Ipanema slippers from Ipanema USA's Facebook page that are amazing for the beach!
